Purpose

Supine arm press helps strengthen the arms and shoulders while encouraging better upper body posture.

Set up

Begin lying on your back with both knees bent, feet flat on the floor, arms down by your sides and palms facing up.

Movement

Press the entire length of your arms into the mat as if you’re making an impression in the sand. Hold for 5 seconds. Relax.

Tips

  • Maintain a neutral spine throughout the press – do not arch your low back.
  • Keep your neck relaxed as you press.
