our workouts STRENGTHEN YOUR

Shoulders

Learn more about the shoulder muscles and how to strengthen them using our expert curated exercises.

The shoulder is a complex joint formed by multiple bones, including the humerus (the upper arm bone), the scapulae (or shoulder blades), and the clavicle. Several muscles work together at the shoulder joint to connect the arms to the trunk and allow you to have upper extremity movement and joint stability. Some of the most well known muscles include the 3 muscles of the rotator cuff: the supraspinatus, infraspinatus, teres minor and subscapularis. The shoulders are one of the more easily injured joints and can cause problems as we age, such as limited range of motion or pain due to muscle weakness, arthritis and/or postural deficits.
